Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors using floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques to maintain a polished appearance.
• Handle cleaning tasks across multiple surfaces including carpets, tiles, and hard floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
• Apply floor cleaning chemicals responsibly, ensuring proper handling and environmental safety standards are met.
• Conduct manual handling of heavy cleaning equipment and supplies, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas with attention to detail.
• Support environmental services initiatives by managing waste disposal and ensuring eco-friendly cleaning practices are followed.
• Assist with janitorial duties as needed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules promptly and effectively.
• Ensure all cleaning tasks comply with health and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service to building occupants.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with various cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Experience in floor care including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of chemical agents used in commercial cleaning environments along with proper handling procedures.
• Proven ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy objects and operating heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with environmental services practices that promote sustainability in cleaning operations.
