What they need

Construction Estimator / Project Manager

DGC | Little Rock, Arkansas
Office-based position Experienced commercial construction professional

Help shape projects from the first estimate through final completion.

DGC is seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to join our Little Rock office. This combined role offers the opportunity to develop estimates, help plan projects, and manage their successful delivery while working directly with ownership and management.

Based in Little Rock, DGC carries forward 34 years of construction experience and a reputation built on honest dealings, quality work, and lasting relationships. As a smaller firm taking on substantial projects, we offer the challenge of large-scale construction with direct access to the people making decisions. You’ll work alongside ownership and management to solve problems, contribute ideas, and make a visible impact on project results. Your experience matters here, and you’ll be part of a company that values its people and stands behind its word.

Our work includes commercial, civil, and industrial projects, with a strong emphasis on negotiated and design-build delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, and proposals.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions to identify scope requirements, gaps, and potential risks.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing, clarify scope, and develop complete project budgets.
  • Work with ownership, clients, designers, and trade partners on constructability, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, contracts, and buyout plans.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, cost tracking, and project documentation.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and project teams, addressing issues early and following through on commitments.

What you bring

  • Substantial experience estimating and managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop reliable estimates and manage project costs, schedules, and quality.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, trade scopes, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Confidence reading drawings and specifications and identifying missing or conflicting information.
  • Strong organization, negotiation, and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and hands-on experience with estimating, project management, and digital takeoff software, with the ability and willingness to learn new tools as construction technology evolves.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Sound judgment, personal accountability, and an honest, practical approach to working with others.

Experience with negotiated and design-build projects and relationships in the Arkansas construction market are preferred.

Compensation and benefits

  • Compensation based on relevant experience and responsibilities.
  • Merit bonuses.
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • 401(k) with company matching.
  • Paid time off.

Let’s talk confidentially.

Apply through Indeed with your résumé or a brief summary of your estimating and project management experience, including recent projects and your role in their delivery. We’ll promptly contact you to arrange an introductory video call. All inquiries will be kept confidential.

References will be requested later in the hiring process. Interviews will include a discussion of past projects and practical estimating and project management scenarios. Employment is subject to satisfactory references, background checks, and a pre-employment drug screen.

DGC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
