We are looking for a highly experienced field leader who is extremely attentive to client needs, responsive in communication, proactive in identifying issues, and capable of solving problems before they impact the project. Candidates without significant commercial construction superintendent experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors, trades, vendors, deliveries, and jobsite activities.
  • Develop and manage 2–3 week look-ahead schedules and daily work plans.
  • Maintain project sequencing and ensure subcontractors have the information, access, and site conditions necessary to perform their work efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and Brandise Construction quality standards.
  • Perform daily site walks and quality-control inspections.
  • Enforce jobsite safety requirements and OSHA standards, including conducting and documenting safety meetings.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts, trade stacking, constructability issues, and unforeseen existing conditions.
  • Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, security, and logistics.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local authorities and ensure work is complete and ready prior to inspection.
  • Communicate daily progress, manpower, scheduling concerns, client needs, and field issues to the Project Manager.
  • Complete accurate daily reports in Raken , including progress photos, manpower counts, work performed, deliveries, delays, and relevant jobsite notes.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination meetings focused on sequencing, scheduling, problem-solving, and field execution.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain accountability for schedule, quality, safety, and jobsite expectations.
  • Manage punch list activities and coordinate timely completion of all field closeout items.
  • Maintain professional communication with the client, project team, subcontractors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience in a Superintendent, General Superintendent, or comparable lead field role.
  • Proven experience independently running commercial renovation and tenant improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and jobsite logistics.
  • Significant experience working within existing buildings and managing renovation-related challenges, including unforeseen conditions, limited access, tight spaces, and potentially active or occupied environments.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, building systems, and trade sequencing.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead subcontractors, resolve field issues, and maintain jobsite productivity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly between field and office teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain consistent documentation and daily reporting.
  • Experience using Raken or comparable construction field-reporting software.
  • Ability to remain responsive, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-moving construction environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Candidates without substantial hands-on commercial field leadership experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
  • Extensive commercial tenant improvement and renovation experience.
  • Experience managing projects involving existing or occupied facilities.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades within compressed construction schedules.
  • Ability to quickly assess existing site conditions and adapt field operations as project conditions evolve.
