Commercial Construction Superintendent

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion. This role demands a proactive leader who can coordinate multiple teams, manage schedules, ensure safety compliance, and uphold quality standards. Duties

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Manage and coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of plans.
• Enforce construction safety regulations in accordance with OSHA standards and federal safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, manage crew assignments, and supervise team members to maintain high productivity levels.
• Monitor quality control processes to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and others for documentation, reporting, and project tracking.
• Coordinate procurement activities including contracts management and tracking project budgets to ensure financial efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Foster effective communication among stakeholders including clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams for seamless project execution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects on-site.
• Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 or Primavera (Project scheduling), Prolog, HeavyBid, and related tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety regulations.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, project scheduling, and construction drawing review.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards and quality control measures.
• Strong managerial communication skills with experience managing subcontractors and crew members in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and managing contracts within the scope of heavy civil or commercial construction projects.
• Ability to operate technical equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary.
• Valid experience with pipeline or heavy infrastructure projects is a plus but not mandatory.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
