About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to lead all legal contracting and commercial activities across the business.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a best-in-class commercial and contractual framework that supports business growth whilst minimising legal and commercial risk. Working across sales, bids, business development, procurement and project delivery teams, you will provide expert guidance throughout the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements, delegated authorities, risk-management frameworks and applicable law.

You will play a critical role in protecting Indigo's contractual position, enabling commercial success and supporting strategic business objectives across domestic and international markets.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the commercial and contractual activities of the business, driving business performance whilst minimising legal and commercial risk.

  • Review, draft and negotiate a range of domestic and international commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, framework agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), contract variations and other legal documents required by the business.

  • Provide clear, pragmatic legal and commercial advice on contractual rights, obligations and risk, maintaining appropriate review and approval controls, including adherence to the four-eyes principle and delegated authority requirements.

  • Support sales, bids, business development, procurement and project delivery teams throughout the contract lifecycle.

  • Partner with operational and project teams to monitor contractual obligations, milestones, service levels, renewals and deliverables, addressing non-compliance and protecting Indigo's contractual rights and remedies.

  • Identify and deliver opportunities for improved contractual protection and commercial value, including cost savings, cost recovery, income generation and innovation through optimisation of existing agreements and negotiation of preferred positions in new contracts.

  • Own and manage strategic, business-critical contracts and key supplier relationships, ensuring risks, liabilities, dependencies and benefits are clearly allocated, documented, monitored and escalated where required.

  • Lead or support negotiations on matters that materially affect contractual rights, obligations or commercial exposure.

  • Manage contractual claims, breaches and disputes through to resolution, engaging external legal counsel where appropriate.

  • Manage contract change-control processes and maintain accurate contractual records, approvals, variations, correspondence and audit trails to support effective governance, reporting and decision-making.

  • Ensure all commercial and contractual activities comply with corporate governance requirements, delegated authorities, risk-management frameworks and applicable law.

About You

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts within an international business environment, including customer and supplier agreements, framework agreements, non-disclosure agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work and contract variations.

  • Strong working knowledge of contract law and key contractual provisions, including liability, indemnities, warranties, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, service levels, termination, governing law and dispute resolution.

  • Proven ability to identify, assess and clearly communicate legal and commercial risk, translating complex contractual issues into practical, business-focused advice and proportionate mitigation strategies.

  • Experience managing the full contract lifecycle, including governance and approvals, tender and bid support, obligation tracking, compliance monitoring, change control, renewals, record keeping and maintenance of robust audit trails.

  • Commercially astute and solutions-focused, with sound judgement and the ability to lead negotiations, protect the organisation's contractual position and balance legal safeguards with business objectives.

  • Proven ability to manage strategic contracts, contractual risk and key stakeholder relationships in a complex commercial environment.

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing and decision-making skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and secure favourable commercial outcomes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work effectively with senior leaders, sales, procurement, project teams, customers, suppliers and external legal counsel.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience within the telecommunications, digital infrastructure or technology sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.
