About the Opportunity:

The COMMERCIAL COST ENGINEER role supports the pricing and commercial evaluation of large-scale cooling systems. This position is responsible for developing scalable and accurate cost models and collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to influence growth, margins, and commercial scaling. The role focuses on mission-critical infrastructure equipment, requiring agility and professionalism to thrive in a dynamic environment and contribute to advancing sustainable cooling technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain cost models for data center cooling systems including chillers, coolant distribution units, and precision air handling systems
• Support pricing for various deployment scales, including single-site and campus projects
• Apply pricing tiers and volume breakpoints for multi-megawatt projects
• Account for regional differences in labor, logistics, compliance, and currency
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Operations to align pricing with technical scope and execution
• Identify commercial risks and assist in margin analysis on complex opportunities
• Contribute to standardizing pricing tools and estimating processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment pricing, cost engineering, or industrial estimating
• Experience with large-scale or multi-megawatt systems
• Preferred experience in data center or mission-critical infrastructure pricing
• OEM or manufacturing pricing background preferred
• Exposure to international projects or EU markets preferred
• Familiarity with startup, commissioning, or lifecycle service costing preferred
• Strong skills in Excel and cost modeling
• Ability to work with incomplete or evolving scopes and document assumptions
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
