They work extensively with public bodies, state agencies and delivery partners, supporting landmark projects across Ireland and mainland Europe.

The business has built a strong reputation for technical depth and independence, with particular expertise in NEC forms of contract and complex cost and commercial management across large-scale infrastructure and transport programmes. They are regarded as a trusted advisor on some of the region's most significant public investment projects.

Having established a strong footprint in the Irish and wider European market, the business is now entering a new phase of strategic growth. This has created a newly created, high-impact opportunity for an experienced commercial leader to help shape and drive that growth across key sectors.

This is a people-focused organisation, known for investing in its senior talent and offering genuine influence over strategic direction, alongside a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Working Environment & Projects

You will operate at a senior leadership level, working closely with directors and senior stakeholders to shape the strategic direction of the commercial advisory practice. The role offers exposure to a broad and high-profile portfolio of public infrastructure and transport projects across Ireland and Europe.

The environment is fast-paced and intellectually engaging, with involvement across business strategy, key client relationships and the technical oversight of complex commercial, cost and contractual matters. You will work alongside highly experienced professionals within a culture that values expertise, independence of thought and collaborative problem-solving.

This role carries genuine influence over the future direction of the business, with the opportunity to build and lead high-performing teams, strengthen key sector relationships and play a central role in the continued growth of the practice across its core markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level commercial, cost and contractual leadership across major public infrastructure and transport projects
  • Drive the strategic growth of the business within key infrastructure and transport sectors, including new client and market development

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key public-sector clients, agencies and delivery partners
  • Lead, mentor and develop senior commercial and cost management professionals within the team
  • Oversee commercial risk management, dispute avoidance and high-value contract negotiations
  • Contribute to overall business strategy, performance and growth planning at a senior leadership level
  • Ensure the highest standards of governance, quality and compliance across all advisory work

What You Need

  • Circa 20 years' experience within commercial, cost and contracts management, ideally within an advisory, consultancy or major contracting environment
  • Extensive experience with NEC forms of contract within infrastructure and transport sectors
  • A strong track record of leading commercial or cost management functions at a senior or director level
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to business growth, client development or strategic planning
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the credibility to operate at senior client and board level
  • Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of the Irish and/or wider European infrastructure market

What You'll Get in Return

This role offers a highly competitive package of €150,000 plus profit share, reflecting the seniority and strategic significance of the position. You will join a business at an exciting stage of growth, with genuine influence over its future direction and the opportunity to work across some of the most significant public infrastructure programmes in Ireland and Europe. A strong, collaborative culture and long-term career prospects at the highest level are also on offer.
