What they need
About Us
We are a third-generation, family-owned commercial door supplier serving construction projects throughout New England and the New York City region. For nearly 100 years, we have built our reputation on dependable service, technical expertise and quality craftsmanship.
Our capabilities range from high-security access control systems and industrial steel door solutions to furniture-grade commercial wood doors. The products we supply and service help define the safety, functionality and first impression of commercial buildings throughout the region.
The Role
As a Commercial Door Technician Apprentice, you will play a hands-on role in both our shop and field operations. You will be part of a team that installs, services, repairs, and troubleshoots a wide range of commercial and industrial door systems.
No two days are the same. One day you may be installing hardware in our shop, while the next may involve diagnosing and repairing a steel door or access control system at a customer’s jobsite.

- Install, service, repair and troubleshoot commercial doors, frames and hardware, including steel, wood, glass, fire-rated, specialty and automatic door systems.
- Install and modify door hardware in accordance with shop drawings, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
- Diagnose operational issues involving hinges, closers, locks, exit devices, access control systems and related components.
- Assist with daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Make deliveries to jobsites and customer locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors and team members.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in commercial construction, installation, service, maintenance, or a related trade is preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.
- Familiarity with commercial doors, frames, hinges, closers, locks, access control systems, or related hardware.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with power tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to read shop drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Why Join Us
- Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus opportunities.
- Paid training and professional certification opportunities, including AAADM and OSHA certifications.
