Commercial Electrical Foreman

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee electrical construction projects within the commercial sector. This role is vital in ensuring that electrical installations, upgrades, and maintenance are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and project specifications. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage electrical crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Read and interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide installation and troubleshooting activities.
• Coordinate construction schedules using industry-standard software such as Primavera P6 and Construction Management software to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations by conducting regular safety audits and enforcing safety protocols.
• Review and manage contracts, change orders, and project documentation using tools like ProCore, Prolog, and Contracts management systems.
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure all electrical work meets project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs related to labor, materials, and equipment while maintaining accurate records for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed construction schedules and coordinate activities across multiple trades for seamless project execution.
• Supervise the review of construction drawings and technical documents; interpret technical data using tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing.
• Lead team meetings to communicate project goals, safety updates, progress reports, and manage crew performance effectively.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor in commercial electrical construction projects with a strong background in managing teams on-site.
• Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling (Primavera P6), budgeting, quality control, and safety protocols (OSHA).
• Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics accurately.
• Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Prolog, HeavyBid, Primavera P6; experience with pipeline projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of federal construction safety regulations along with OSHA standards for electrical work.
• Hands-on experience supervising large crews in complex projects involving multiple trades; excellent management and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of construction regulations specific to commercial projects; ability to interpret technical data using tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing.
• Previous experience with managing contracts, change orders, project scheduling, and coordinating construction site activities efficiently.
