Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across commercial and industrial environments. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects such as renovations, new construction, and system upgrades, utilizing your strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprint reading, and high-voltage wiring. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of complex electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems in accordance with NEC and local electrical codes.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults or system inefficiencies.
• Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to all electrical safety procedures.
• Install and maintain low voltage systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control panels, and automation components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical wiring, conduit bending, cable pulling, and fixture installation on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical systems by analyzing schematics and diagnosing issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 standards (National Fire Protection Association code for electrical safety) and NEC regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and system modifications for compliance purposes.

Experience

• Proven industrial electrician experience working with high-voltage electrical wiring and industrial electrical systems.
• Demonstrated commercial electrician experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial electrical systems in various settings.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes as well as NFPA 70 standards; experience reading blueprints and schematics is essential.
• Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Construction site experience including new installations or renovations; ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems including control wiring for automation or security systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work safely following all electrical safety procedures; previous experience working on high-voltage projects is preferred.
• Skilled in using hand tools like wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers along with power tools necessary for efficient installation work.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
