Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant field
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management
• Quantity Surveying qualification is a strong advantage

Technical Skills

• Minimum of 5 years in construction/contracting
• Demonstrated exposure to both pre-tender estimation and post-tender contract administration.
• Proven track record in preparing and defending variations, claims and interim payment applications with a main contractor.
• Quantity take-off and measurement to recognised standards.
• BOQ preparation, unit-rate build-up and pricing of material, manpower, equipment and subcontract elements.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC (or equivalent) conditions of contract — variations, notices, time bars, payment and claim provisions.
• Preparation of variations, claims, EOT substantiation and final accounts.
• RFQ, comparison, evaluation, valuation, back-charges and closure.
• Cost control, budget-versus-actual analysis and cash-flow forecasting.
