Commercial Engineer – Data Centre Construction Project

About the role

Manage commercial and contract-related matters throughout the data centre construction project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review contracts, BOQs, quotations, variations, claims, payment applications, and other commercial documents
• Monitor project costs, budgets, subcontractor costs, and commercial performance to support effective cost control
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams on commercial and contractual matters
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders, cost estimates, claims, and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate commercial records and prepare regular cost, contract, and project progress reports

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial, quantity surveying, contract management, or construction projects
• Experience in data centre construction projects is highly preferred
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, BOQ, cost control, variation orders, claims, and payment processes
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills, with good attention to detail
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage, especially for communication with Chinese-speaking project teams
