Our client is a Kiwi-owned insurance brokerage with offices across New Zealand, providing business and personal insurance to clients nationwide. You'll have modern systems, experienced leadership and the freedom to focus on building long-term client relationships.

About the role
As a Commercial Broker, you'll win new business, look after SME and mid-market clients and build tailored insurance programmes and risk management solutions. You'll work closely with clients, underwriters and industry partners to deliver strong outcomes and grow the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Win new business and grow your SME and mid-market client portfolio
• Prepare and present tailored insurance proposals
• Manage debtor control and ensure premiums are paid on time
• Handle claims coordination and new business enquiries
• Keep up to date with industry developments and compliance requirements
• Arrange client meetings and process policy renewals

About you

• ANZIIF/NZFCS Level 5 Certificate completed
• 4+ years' experience as a Commercial Broker working with SME and mid-market clients
• Proven ability to generate and close new business
• Detail-focused, results-driven and comfortable working to deadlines
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
