Commercial Laundry Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Commercial Laundry Technician to join our team. This role focuses primarily on the repair and maintenance of older-model Speed Queen commercial washers and dryers.

The ideal candidate has experience with commercial laundry or appliance repair and is comfortable troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience with older Speed Queen machines is highly preferred, but candidates with strong experience repairing similar commercial laundry equipment are encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain older Speed Queen commercial washers and dryers
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating, and drainage issues
• Perform routine maintenance and identify worn or failing components
• Repair or replace components such as motors, belts, pumps, valves, switches, timers, bearings, and electrical parts
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals as needed
• Use multimeters, hand tools, and power tools to diagnose and complete repairs
• Service both gas commercial dryers and electric commercial washers
• Clearly communicate equipment issues and completed repairs
• Provide professional and courteous service at customer locations
• Use hand tools, power tools, ladder access, and other maintenance tools safely and effectively during repairs or installations
• Conduct electrical work such as wiring, circuit testing, and component replacement as needed

Experience

• Proven experience with appliance repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a commercial setting
• Familiarity with older Speed Queen commercial washers and dryers is a strong plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in reading schematics and technical manuals
• Hands-on experience with electrical work including wiring, circuit testing, and electrical troubleshooting
• Skilled in plumbing tasks related to appliance systems and water connections
• Experience operating power tools, hand tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment safely
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics accurately for efficient repairs or installations
