Commercial Lending Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

• • Obtain and review preliminary title reports, organizational documents and all pertinent documentation associated with closing commercial loans.
  • Document and close new and renewal loan requests
  • Process loan payments and advances.
  • Build/organize commercial loan files.
  • Track/update ticklers/covenants for commercial loans.
  • Assist Commercial Loan Officers and Asst. Commercial Loan Officers with duties.
  • Obtain pertinent daily and monthly reports for department.
  • Assist members/department with opening depository accounts including on-line access, remote deposits, ACH transactions etc...
  • Maintaining collateral files such as extending UCC's and recording deed of trust, etc.
  • Ordering of third-party documents such as, but not limited to flood certifications, preliminary title reports, credit reports, NADA reports, Carfax, etc.
  • Build and create commercial loan documents using Lazer Pro.
  • Board commercial loans onto the Credit Union’s core system.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Required Skills

• • Strong understanding of commercial loan products, class codes, loan terms, purpose codes, collateral codes, and related commercial lending terminology.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel, DNA, Lazer Pro, Co-Pilot)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to learn new duties
