Commercial Millwork Operations Manager - 10+ years experience required

Duties:

• Manage job flow through every stage of production to ensure on-time delivery of commercial millwork projects.
• Develop and communicate a daily shop schedule, adjusting as priorities, materials, and capacity change.
• Identify bottlenecks early and resolve them before they impact delivery dates.
• Onboard and train new employees on safety, quality standards, and shop procedures.
• Manage shop employee performance through clear expectations, regular feedback, coaching, and documentation.
• Oversee all aspects of running the shop, including production, assembly, finishing, quality control, and shipping.
• Enforce safety practices and lead by example in a culture where everyone goes home just like they came.
• Coordinate with ownership and project management on lead times, material needs, and delivery commitments.
• Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and the standards expected by nationally recognized brands before leaving the shop.
• Oversee maintenance of shop equipment, from hand tools to CNC routers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a millwork, cabinet, or woodworking shop required.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Ability to read and follow construction plans and shop drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage production schedules.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and hold people accountable.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected challenges.
• Familiarity with CNC equipment and production software is a plus.

The standard work hours of the shop are 6AM until 3:30 Monday-Thursday and 6AM until 10AM Friday. Overtime is required from time to time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
