Commercial Painter

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Painters to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly through cleaning, sanding, drywall repair, caulking, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately assess project scope and specifications.
• Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, conventional spray painting, and construction spray painting with paint sprayers.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform surface preparation, fixture installation, and minor repairs.
• Execute coating applications on structural surfaces such as walls, ceilings, beams, and other architectural features with precision.
• Follow all safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocol guidelines on construction sites.
• Conduct visual color comparisons and select appropriate paints based on color theory principles for consistent finishes.
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste responsibly while adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of renovation projects and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial painting, construction site work, or related renovation projects.
• Skilled in construction estimating, blueprint reading, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, and general handyman tasks.
• Familiarity with construction surface preparation techniques including sanding, cleaning, and priming surfaces before painting.
• Proficient in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, sanders; power tools including drills and spray equipment; and ladder use for elevated work.
• Knowledge of coating types suitable for various substrates and environments along with proper application methods like brush painting and roller painting.
• Understanding of safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection protocols.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for measurements and estimations.
• Strong construction site experience with the ability to work efficiently within a team or independently while maintaining high safety standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for color matching using visual comparison techniques; familiarity with color theory is a plus.

Pay: $26.86 - $32.00 per hour
