Commercial Plumber

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across a range of commercial properties.

This role requires a candidate who is confident working with complex commercial pipework and systems, with demonstrated experience and knowledge of commercial pump systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation & Fitting: Install, alter, and repair commercial plumbing systems, including mains water supplies, drainage, sanitary ware, and pipework (copper, steel, and plastic).
• Pump Systems Management: Maintenance, fault-finding, installation, and servicing of commercial pump systems, including booster sets, circulation pumps, and sump/drainage pumps.
• Routine Maintenance & Servicing: Execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules across commercial facilities.
• Fault Finding & Emergency Repairs: Diagnose plumbing faults, leaks, blockages, and pressure issues efficiently, executing remedial repairs with minimal operational downtime for clients.
• System Testing: Perform pressure testing, commissioning, and safety checks on pipework and associated systems.
• Compliance & Health and Safety: Ensure all work adheres strictly to UK Building Regulations, Water Regulations (WRAS), and site health and safety standards.
• Documentation: Keep clear records of completed jobs, materials used, and statutory maintenance logs.

Candidate Requirements & Skills

Essential:

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working in commercial plumbing environments.
• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent recognised apprenticeship).
• Technical Expertise: Strong working knowledge of commercial pump systems (booster pumps, circulation pumps, and associated control valves/pressurisation units).
• Certifications: Valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold Skilled Worker).
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Attributes: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on active commercial sites.

Desirable / Advantageous:

• Gas Safe Certification: Current Gas Safe registration (Commercial or Domestic) is highly advantageous, though not essential.
• Unvented Hot Water Systems certification (G3).
• IPAF or PASMA certifications for working at height.

Pay: From £17.00 per hour
