Commercial Project Manager (technical)

About the Role

Commercial Project Manager – Energy Storage About the Role We are looking for a Commercial Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of commercial energy storage projects. You will build and guide the project design team, coordinate R&D and cross-functional resources, and own risk management, engineering change control, and process discipline from initial assessment through mass production.

Responsibilities

• Build the commercial project design team and lead overall project assessment and development.
• Coordinate R&D resources across functions to deliver the overall design of commercial projects.
• Oversee first-article / initial sample development and verification, ensuring a smooth transition from sample to mass production.
• Develop risk management matrices covering business, design, technical, and quality dimensions across the project development lifecycle, and define risk mitigation measures.
• Lead cross-functional ECO (Engineering Change Order) management for internal design delivery changes, ensuring changes are implemented effectively and in a controlled manner.
• Develop process documents for the R&D management of commercial projects in line with quality system requirements.
• Organize and manage the output and handover of technical documentation for commercial projects.
• Conduct KPI assessments for project team members throughout the project lifecycle, and capture and document lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Automation, Project Management, or a related field.

Required Skills

• At least 3 years of relevant project management experience; energy storage or adjacent industry background is preferred.
• Strong project management skills, with a solid understanding of product development lifecycle. PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Overseas project experience is a plus; English as a working language is required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional coordination skills, with a high sense of ownership and execution.
