Commercial Projects & Automation Manager

Location: Beausoleil, France — Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office

Employment: Full-time

Compensation: €50,000–€65,000 base + performance bonus

Reports to: Founder

Interior Icons is a fast-growing ecommerce furniture company selling design-led products primarily in the US.

We are a small, founder-led business focused on keeping things simple, using data to make decisions and turning complicated problems into efficient, repeatable processes.

The role

We are looking for a highly analytical, digitally savvy and resourceful Commercial Projects & Automation Manager to work directly with the Founder on a changing portfolio of high-impact projects.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports.

You will be given a problem or objective and expected to research it, analyse the data, find solutions and drive the project through to completion. You can use freelancers, developers and external specialists where required.

Excellent spoken and written English is essential. The role works directly with the Founder and with international suppliers, partners and contractors, primarily in English.

Example projects could include:

• Finding and tendering new freight or 3PL providers.
• Researching and contacting international suppliers.
• Building AI-powered product-discovery tools.
• Redesigning ecommerce processes using Google Sheets, Matrixify and other tools.
• Automating repetitive workflows using AI, Make.com or similar platforms.
• Managing external developers or freelancers for technical projects.
• Analysing commercial data to identify savings and opportunities.
• Building new company processes and handing them over once established.

What this role is not

This is not a traditional project-management role focused mainly on meetings, timelines and coordination.

It is not a people-management role, pure data analyst role or software-development role.

You will be expected to personally research, analyse, build, contact, negotiate and implement.

Recruitment process

Shortlisted candidates will complete a short numerical and logical reasoning assessment before the first interview .

Selected candidates will then complete an interview followed by a short practical exercise based on the type of projects involved in the role.

Final-stage candidates will be asked to personally arrange reference calls with their previous 2–3 direct managers .
