The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning windows, glass, frames and other external surfaces at a variety of commercial, industrial and business premises, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving traditional window cleaning methods, high-reach water-fed pole systems and other specialist cleaning equipment. The role requires someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail and can work independently as well as part of a team.

A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, as the role involves travelling to different customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean windows, glass panels, frames, doors and other glazed surfaces at commercial and industrial premises.
  • Operate high-reach water-fed pole systems to clean windows and glass at height safely and effectively from ground level.
  • Use traditional window cleaning methods where appropriate, including squeegees, applicators and other professional cleaning tools.
  • Set up, operate and maintain water-fed pole systems, hoses, brushes and associated equipment.
  • Carry out external cleaning of industrial units, warehouses, offices, factories, retail premises and other commercial buildings.
  • Remove dirt, dust, grime, watermarks and other deposits to achieve a high-quality, streak-free finish.
  • Clean window frames, sills, ledges and surrounding areas as required.
  • Assess site conditions before starting work and select the appropriate cleaning method and equipment for each job.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices, including the safe use of equipment and working around pedestrians, vehicles and site operations.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and solutions safely and in accordance with product instructions.
  • Identify and report any damaged glass, access issues, equipment faults or potential safety hazards.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment, ensuring it is stored securely and kept in good working condition.
  • Keep vehicles, equipment and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
  • Work efficiently to meet scheduled cleaning programmes and customer requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, site staff and colleagues.
  • Represent CAS Contract Cleaning Ltd in a professional manner and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and undertake physical tasks, including lifting, carrying and handling cleaning equipment.
  • Complete any relevant job sheets, site records or other required paperwork accurately.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties associated with the window cleaning role.

Essential Requirements

  • A full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience in professional window cleaning, preferably within a commercial or industrial environment.
  • Experience using both traditional window cleaning methods and high-reach water-fed pole systems.
  • A good understanding of safe working practices and the importance of health and safety when carrying out cleaning duties.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
  • A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering a high standard of cleaning.
  • The ability to work independently, manage time effectively and work as part of a team.
  • A good level of physical fitness to carry out the demands of the role.
  • A flexible approach to work and a willingness to travel between customer sites.
  • A positive attitude towards customer service and maintaining professional working relationships.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working on commercial, industrial or large-scale window cleaning contracts.
  • Knowledge of water-fed pole systems, pure water cleaning methods and associated equipment.
