About the Role

We are hiring enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chefs – Continental for a premium dining restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to maintaining food quality, hygiene, and consistency in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place as per service requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of continental dishes.
• Follow recipes, portioning guidelines, and plating standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Minimise food wastage and handle ingredients responsibly.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow kitchen SOPs and instructions from senior chefs.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
• Basic knowledge of continental cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Freshers with a culinary qualification or relevant training may apply.
• A degree, diploma, or certificate in culinary arts is preferred.
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop culinary skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork, discipline, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety practices.
