Job Title: Commis 3 (Both Sections)

Reports to: Commis 2 / Commis 1 / Demi Chef de Partie

Job Summary:

Commis 3 is an entry-level kitchen position primarily responsible for supporting basic food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards. This role serves as the foundation for a culinary career and provides exposure to different areas of the kitchen under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic food prep such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Support Commis 2 and senior chefs during mise en place and service.
• Follow hygiene and safety protocols (HACCP) at all times.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as directed.
• Carry out cleaning duties, including station cleaning, & section setup & Wash.
• Handle and store food items properly to prevent cross-contamination.
• Learn and adhere to standard recipes and kitchen procedures.

Skills & Qualifications:

• No formal experience required (entry-level); kitchen exposure or internship is a plus.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Good communication and teamwork attitude.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a high-pressure environment.
• Culinary school student or graduate (optional but beneficial).
