Location: Aida Café, City University Malaysia (Cyberjaya Campus)
Position Type: Full-Time, Entry-Level
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Holidays: Follows Selangor Public Holidays

Job Summary: We are seeking an energetic and reliable Junior Commis Chef to join our campus café kitchen at City University Malaysia. This is an ideal role for entry-level candidates or fresh culinary graduates looking to build foundational kitchen skills. You will strictly work under the supervision of our main cook, focusing on ingredient prep, keeping workstations clean, and helping the kitchen run efficiently during busy lunch hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic Food Prep: Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients (vegetables, meats, basics) according to standard café recipes.
• Kitchen Support: Set up the prep station before peak hours and hand off prepped ingredients to the main cook.
• Hygiene & Sanitation: Keep your personal workstation spotlessly clean, wash kitchen utensils, and strictly follow food handling hygiene standards.
• Stock Organizing: Assist in receiving stock deliveries, checking ingredient freshness, and arranging the kitchen pantry using the FIFO method.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience. Fresh graduates with a Certificate/Diploma in Culinary Arts or SPM leavers with basic home-cooking interest are welcome to apply.
• Skills: Willingness to learn, ability to follow clear instructions, and basic knife handling skills.
• Compliance: Must have a valid Typhoid vaccination certificate (or be willing to take one before starting).
• Traits: Punctual, reliable, and able to work well at a steady pace during campus lunch hours.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
