We are looking for Commis assists the culinary team in preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and standards. The position ensures proper food preparation, cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen while supporting smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

• Prepare ingredients and cook food according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure proper portion, quality, taste, and presentation.
• Assist in preparing orders during service.

2. Station Management

• Keep the assigned station clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Properly store and label ingredients.
• Report shortages or equipment concerns to the supervisor.

3. Safety & Sanitation

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Prevent cross-contamination and minimize food waste.

4. Teamwork

• Work closely with the Chef and culinary team.
• Follow instructions and assist other team members when needed.
• Maintain good communication and teamwork.

5. Quality Control

• Ensure food meets the hotel's standards for quality, taste, temperature, and presentation.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.

Qualifications

• At least Vocation Course graduate; culinary training is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Commis or Kitchen Assistant is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
• Hardworking, reliable, disciplined, and willing to learn.
