Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Commis 1 specializing in Arabic Cuisine to support our kitchen operations. Working closely under the guidance of the Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, handling daily mise en place, and executing high-quality Middle Eastern dishes.As a fluent Arabic speaker, you will ensure clear, effective communication within the kitchen team to maintain seamless operations during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Execute daily mise en place tasks, including washing, chopping, marinating, and prepping fresh ingredients for authentic Arabic hot and cold dishes.
• Cooking Support: Assist the Chef de Partie in cooking and plating appetizers, mezze, and main courses according to standard recipes.
• Station Upkeep: Maintain excellent cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards at your assigned workstation.
• Food Safety: Strictly follow UAE food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure safe food handling and storage.
• Stock Rotation: Assist in receiving kitchen deliveries and organizing storage areas using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Language: Native or professional fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Commis 1 or Commis 2 in a professional Arabic restaurant or hotel kitchen.
• Culinary Knowledge: Solid foundational knowledge of Arabic ingredients, traditional spice blends, and kitchen prep techniques.
• Skills: Strong knife skills, ability to follow instructions accurately, and an eagerness to learn and grow.
• Location: Candidates currently based in the UAE are highly preferred.
