Commis 2 - Pastry

About the role

I'M Donut is looking for a Commis 2 to join our kitchen team. The Commis 2 will support the Chef and senior kitchen team in daily food preparation and production while ensuring products are prepared according to I'M Donut's quality, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef and Demi Chef with daily kitchen and food production activities.
• Perform basic food preparation such as washing, cutting, weighing, portioning, and preparing ingredients.
• Assist in the preparation of donut-related ingredients, fillings, toppings, sauces, and other food items.
• Follow recipes, preparation methods, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with donut production and other kitchen tasks as assigned by the Chef or Demi Chef.
• Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled, and handled.
• Assist with checking and replenishing ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, kitchen equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety and hygiene requirements at all times.
• Minimise food wastage through proper preparation and handling of ingredients.

About you

• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen/F&B experience is preferred.
• Fresh candidates with relevant culinary or F&B training are also encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions and SOPs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Responsible, hardworking, and disciplined.
• Good attention to cleanliness and food hygiene.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
