Commis 3 / Kitchen Helper

Tazeen Restaurant is looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated individuals to join our pre-opening team as Commis 3 / Kitchen Helper at Kulim Avenue, Kedah, specializing in Northern Indian Mughlai & Malay cuisine. We are seeking entry-level culinary team members who are passionate about food preparation and eager to build their career in the hospitality industry.

As a Commis 3 / Kitchen Helper, you will assist the kitchen team in food preparation, basic cooking tasks, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and basic food preparation tasks
• Support senior chefs during daily kitchen operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and kitchen equipment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times
• Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen stock and supplies
• Help ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods
• Minimize food wastage and maintain proper kitchen practices
• Learn and follow recipes, SOPs, and kitchen standards
• Assist management during pre-opening kitchen setup and preparations

Requirements

• Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent
• Basic kitchen experience is an advantage but not compulsory
• Passionate about cooking and willing to learn
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Responsible, disciplined, and hardworking
• Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Able to travel to or relocate to Kulim, Kedah

Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kulim: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
