Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Commis au comptoir to join our vibrant food service team! Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience
• Prepare food items accurately and efficiently according to established recipes and standards
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process orders and payments swiftly and accurately
• Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, food prep stations, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
• Assist in food handling tasks such as portioning, packaging, and replenishing supplies as needed

Experience

• Prior food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Experience in the food industry or serving roles is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
