Commis Bartender / Barback

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by restocking bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure efficient service during busy hours
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as garnishing drinks and preparing simple bar snacks or accompaniments
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
• Help manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
• Serve as a friendly point of contact for guests at the bar area, providing excellent communication and customer service
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar station before opening and after closing shifts
• Support the overall flow of service by collaborating with team members to deliver a seamless guest experience

Skills

• Strong hospitality background with experience in food preparation or restaurant settings
• Knowledge of bartending techniques, drink recipes, and bar operations
• Previous experience in hotel or restaurant environments is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
• Basic understanding of kitchen procedures and food safety standards
• Barista or serving experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility in customer service roles

Pay: £13.00 per hour
