Commis (Central Kitchen - Hot Kitchen)

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cooking fresh ingredients according to standard recipes, strict portion controls, and follow daily production plans
• Complete daily mise en place preparation tasks to ensure full operational readiness before production starts
• Maintain absolute personal hygiene and food safety standards at all times
• Portion items accurately based on standard recipes using the correct packaging, labels, and sealing methods
• Enforce First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles, monitor expiry dates, and ensure proper storage of packed goods
• Verify product quantities and accuracy against delivery sheets to ensure timely daily dispatch to outlets
• Immediately report any raw material shortages, quality compromises, or equipment faults to the person-in-charge
• Assist with incoming goods receiving, inventory checks, and ad-hoc peak season tasks

About you

• Prior experience in a central kitchen, food production facility, or F&B operations is preferred
• Valid Food Safety Course Level 1 (Basic Food Hygiene) certification is highly desirable
• Able to manage physical tasks, including standing for min 10 hours, repetitive movements, and manual lifting
• Ability to thrive and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
• Ability to read, write, and follow basic spoken and written operational instructions
• Excellent teamwork, punctuality, strong communication, and effective time management skills
