Commis Chef

Job Summary:

The Commis Chef assists the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The role supports the Chef de Partie and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks.
• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, sauces, and garnishes.
• Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
• Keep the kitchen and workstations clean and organized.
• Store food properly and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Help maintain proper stock levels.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, hardworking, and attentive to cleanliness.
