Soori Penang seeks a skilled and passionate Commis Chef to join the opening team of our ultra-luxury heritage property in George Town. You will oversee breakfast service, ensuring that every dish reflects the refinement, balance, and authenticity that define the Soori culinary philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food production and preparation
• Work independently with discipline and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Support the Head Chef in menu development and daily operations
• Demonstrate willingness to learn and refine skills
• Contribute positively as a supportive team member

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in luxury hotels
• Strong technical knowledge of cold and hot line operations
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
• Calm, organised, and hands-on in a small-team environment
• Culinary diploma or equivalent certification preferred
