Commis Chef / Chef de Partie
Hanks Café & Bagelry — Armadale & Chadstone

Bagels, bold flavours, and a kitchen that actually feels good to work in.

We're after Commis Chefs and Chef de Parties to join the Hanks crew — full-time and part-time roles going across both our Armadale and Chadstone venues.

We run a busy, high-volume kitchen and we back ourselves on flavour and fresh ideas. But we also know a great kitchen runs on people who aren't burnt out — so it's daytime hours only, no nights, and a real shot at work-life balance while you're still in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work alongside our Head Chef and the team, turning out food we're proud of, every day.

What's in it for you:
Full-time and part-time positions available
Daytime-only hours — no late nights
Competitive pay
A kitchen where your ideas actually get heard
Room to grow across a multi-venue group
Easy public transport access + free all-day parking

What we're after:
Solid experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
Someone who brings good energy and pulls their weight during service
Reliable, organised, and communicates well with the team
A genuine love of food, flavour, and presentation
An eye for detail
Chefs who take pride in their work and want to keep growing

If you love what Hanks is about and want in on a team making food people genuinely crave — get in touch.

Only successful applicants will be contacted.
