Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our busy culinary team. This vital role supports the smooth operation of our kitchen; The ideal candidate will be organised, hardworking, and eager to develop their skills within a hospitality environment. Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of dishes
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Following all food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures
• Supporting different sections of the kitchen during busy service periods
• Checking, storing and rotating stock correctly

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service environment such as a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting is desirable but not mandatory
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new skills within the hospitality sector
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work
• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour
