About the Role

Canopy Hills Resort, Munnar is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in food preparation, maintain high standards of hygiene and quality, and be able to work efficiently in a hotel/resort environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu standards.
• Maintain consistent food quality, taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and kitchen hygiene.
• Manage daily kitchen operations and coordinate with the kitchen team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
• Monitor food stock and minimize wastage.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in menu preparation and suggest new dishes when required.
• Ensure timely preparation of food during busy service hours.
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen and hotel staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef/Cook in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or similar establishment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Passion for cooking and maintaining food quality.
• Candidates who can join immediately will be preferred.
