Commis Chef

Position: Commis Chef

Department: Kitchen

Location: Hotel Kumily Gate, Kumily, Kerala

Job Responsibilities:

* Assist the Chef and senior kitchen staff in daily food preparation.

* Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, sauces, marinades and other mise en place.

* Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations.

* Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.

* Follow food safety and kitchen SOPs.

* Assist during breakfast, lunch, dinner and buffet operations.

* Maintain proper stock rotation and inform seniors about shortages.

* Minimise food wastage and maintain portion control.

* Support other kitchen sections whenever required.

* Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Executive Chef.

Requirements:

* Previous experience as a Commis Chef is preferred.

* Freshers with a relevant culinary qualification may also apply.

* Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene.

* Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.

* Good teamwork and communication skills.

* Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
