Commis Chef

The Engine Room is all about bold, fresh cooking in a relaxed yet refined space in the heart of Derby. The restaurant has quickly become known for sharing plates, hand‑stretched pizzas, grilled meats and delicious desserts, all supported by a thoughtful list of cocktails, wines and local beers. An opportunity has opened for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen team and grow with us and the position comes with a salary of £12.71 per hour plus benefits, working part-time (24 hours per week).

The Position

As Commis Chef, you will work closely with the chefs to prepare and serve dishes across the menu, developing your skills in a collaborative and energised environment. The kitchen team takes real pride in its food and enjoys working together to deliver plates that look beautiful and taste even better.
