about the role

as a Commis Chef at Zuma, you’ll play a key role in crafting dishes that leave a lasting impression. with your energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to excellence, you’ll be part of a team that sets the standard for modern dining.

what you'll do

• ensure mise en place levels are maintained to guarantee smooth service, with a focus on quality, consistency, and impeccable presentation
• embrace opportunities to learn and grow, gaining experience across various kitchen sections under the guidance of senior chefs
• inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring proper storage practices and minimizing waste
• prepare food products according to recipes, ensuring precision, care, and adherence to the highest preparation standards
• conduct daily hygiene checks in storage areas and maintain clean, organized workstations in line with Zuma’s high standards
• follow Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at all times
