Commis Chef

The Speech House Hotel has AA Rosette dining areas in the Orangery, the Verderer's Court, and function facilities for weddings and conferences.

Our customers are what makes us, and we want to provide them with the best experience from the first step they take into the hotel, to when they leave.

Commis Chef
36-40 hours per week over 4 days.

We have an AA Rosette for culinary excellence, which is very well deserved by the team. We get busy, especially when the sun is out, so we’re looking for people who can think on their feet and get stuck in to help others when needed, as well as deliver top standard food.

We pride ourselves on our reputation for being an independently, family run hotel, and we care about our staff. We offer training and development at all levels, including NVQs and college courses in food and bar management, as well as on the job training.

Why come and work for us?
Not only will we offer training once the probationary period is over, but we also offer:

• A meal each shift you’re on duty
• A Christmas party every year
• Loyalty of service recognition
• Staff discount on rooms
• Staff & Team Quiz’s with cash prizes
• Job progression (if desired)

If your application is successful then you will hear back from us within 2 weeks to arrange an interview.
