Baba Roma is looking for a motivated and skilled Commis 1 to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will support the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen team in preparing high-quality food while maintaining excellent hygiene, consistency, and kitchen standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, and portion controls.
• Assist the Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations and food preparation.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly prepared, stored, labelled, and rotated.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work station and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety, HACCP, and company standards at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and checking food supplies.
• Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
• Support other kitchen sections when required.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Work efficiently as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Commis 1 or similar kitchen role.
• Experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or central kitchen is preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: AED2,800.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
