Commis Chef (Full-Time)

Swissôtel Sydney is a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of Sydney’s business, retail and entertainment district.

Our facilities include the award-winning spa centre Spa and Sport, a restaurant and lobby bar, fully equipped fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool as well as eight state-of-the-art meeting rooms including a heritage-listed ballroom seating up to 400 people.

Swissôtel Sydney, part of Accor’s Premium brands, has an exciting opportunity for two motivated and driven Commis Chefs to join our kitchen brigade in the Breakfast section on a Full-Time basis.

About the role:

• Food preparation and production to deliver innovative and inspired dishes aimed to exceed customer and guest expectations.
• Ensure food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitored to meet set guidelines.
• Ensure the highest standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained to meet Health & Safety regulations and HACCP food preparation guidelines.

About You:

• The ability to work most effectively in a team environment.
• A fantastic attitude in providing quality work and service.
• Previous experience in à la carte and/or buffet services and a flair for presentation.
• Quality and portion control.
• Understanding Food Safety industry requirements.
• Ability to work a rotating roster, including early mornings (as required for breakfast service), weekends and Public Holidays.
• Possess working right in Australia.
