We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen team at The Fleece Inn in Bungay.

This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their chef career, or a junior chef looking to develop their skills in a busy, well-run pub kitchen that values quality food and teamwork.

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in delivering consistently high-quality dishes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Learning and working across different sections of the kitchen
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Following recipes and presentation standards
• Supporting senior chefs during busy services
• Helping with stock rotation and kitchen organisation

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in food and cooking
• Willingness to learn and develop kitchen skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work well under pressure as part of a team
• Basic kitchen experience is highly desirable but not necessarily essential for someone that demonstrates the right attitude — training will be provided
