Commis Chef (Full-time)

We're looking for a keen Commis Chef to join the opening kitchen team at Blue Note London, a new British-American bistro launching this September.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants proper hands-on training and real development — you'll work directly under experienced senior chefs, learning our sections, techniques and standards from the ground up as we build the menu and kitchen culture together.

What we're looking for:

• Some kitchen experience (college, apprenticeship, or a previous commis role)
• Genuine appetite to learn and improve — we care more about attitude than CV length
• Good basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen hygiene
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely, and work well under pressure
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

What you'll get:

• Structured on-the-job training from experienced senior chefs
• Competitive hourly rate
• Staff meals on shift
• Real progression opportunities as the restaurant grows
• The experience of opening a restaurant from scratch — rare early-career exposure

If you're hungry to learn and want to grow with a new kitchen, apply now.

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Experience:

• kitchen: 1 year (preferred)

Work authorisation:

• United Kingdom (required)
