Position Summary

A Commis Chef is responsible for assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting senior chefs in daily kitchen operations. This is an entry-level role designed to develop culinary skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food as per standard recipes
• Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie / Sous Chef
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times
• Ensure proper storage of food items (FIFO method)
• Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and making sauces
• Help in setting up and closing kitchen stations
• Ensure all dishes are prepared as per quality and presentation standards
• Monitor stock levels and inform seniors for replenishment
• Avoid wastage and control portion sizes
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Skills & Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with good communication skills
• Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
• Culinary diploma or relevant experience (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹17,500.00 per month
