Position: Commis II / III – Savouries

Department: Kitchen / Production

Reports To: Sous Chef / Head Chef

Location: Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for a hardworking and motivated Commis II / III to join our Savouries Kitchen team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and production of savoury dishes as per standard recipes.

• Handle mise en place, including cutting, chopping, marination, portioning, and ingredient preparation.

• Assist in cooking, plating, and maintaining food presentation standards.

• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage procedures.

• Follow FIFO/FEFO for proper stock rotation.

• Support the senior chefs during daily kitchen operations and service.

• Ensure timely preparation of food items and maintain smooth workflow.

• Minimize food wastage and ensure proper utilization of ingredients.

• Maintain discipline and follow instructions from the Head Chef and Sous Chef.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of experience in Savouries, Hot Kitchen, Continental, Multi-Cuisine, Café, or QSR.

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Culinary qualification/diploma will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
