About the role

We are seeking a reliable Commis to assist our kitchen team in preparing authentic Chinese dishes. You will handle ingredient prep, basic cooking tasks, and station cleanliness to ensure smooth high-volume service.

Key responsibilities

• Chop, slice, and marinate vegetables, meats, and seafood according to traditional Chinese recipes and portion guides.
• Assist line cooks and wok chefs with setup, stocking prep lines, and basic cooking or steaming tasks.
• Clean work areas, sanitize tools, and maintain strict kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Help organize dry goods, cold storage, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO).

About you

• 1+ years of basic kitchen or culinary experience (Chinese cuisine background preferred).
• Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety principles.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Residing in Tacloban or nearby areas.
• Can start immediately.
