Commis/Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Kitchen Assistant at Meating Place, a casual meat restaurant in Bugis. We need a Kitchen Assistant with basic knife skills to join our friendly kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut and prepare vegetables, meat and other ingredients.
• Prepare ingredients before service (mise en place).
• Help put together simple dishes based on our recipes.
• Keep the kitchen counters, tools and equipment clean after every shift.
• Store food correctly and check that stock is fresh.
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules.
• Help the cooks and kitchen team with other kitchen duties.

About you

• Basic knife cutting skills (cutting, chopping, slicing).
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Willing to learn and give your best effort every shift.
• Can work well in a team.
• Basic spoken English or simple communication is enough.
• Must be able to work weekends and public holidays.
