Commissioned Security Officer

Responsibilities - Provide security presence at assigned sites to protect personnel, guests, facilities,

and equipment.

• Perform access control, foot and/or vehicle patrols, and respond to incidents as needed.
• Prepare accurate written reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
• Remain vigilant and maintain situational awareness to prevent threats, trespassing, or disorderly

conduct.

• Apply de-escalation techniques and exercise sound judgment in security situations.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and all applicable state regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer service–oriented demeanor.

Qualifications - Minimum 18 years of age.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• No felony convictions; no Class A or B misdemeanors within the past 5 years.
• No pending criminal charges, restraining/protective orders, or sex offender registration requirements.
• No convictions for domestic or family violence.
• Pass a criminal background check including FBI fingerprinting.
• Pass pre-employment and quarterly drug testing.
• Possess strong moral principles, professionalism, and a responsible work ethic.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and display sound judgment.

Education & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Prior private security or military/law enforcement experience preferred.

Certifications & Licenses - Valid, unexpired Texas Commissioned Security Officer License (or

ability to obtain).

• Valid, unexpired Texas Driver License and current auto insurance.

Language Skills - Must be able to read, write, speak, and effectively communicate in English.

Other Qualifications - Reliable personal (not public) transportation.

• Clean driving record.
• Smartphone with mobile data and proficiency in mobile apps.
• Basic computer skills and ability to prepare written reports.
• If veteran, provide DD-214 with discharge status other than dishonorable.
• Own or be able to purchase black leather military/tactical boots.

Physical Demands - Ability to stand and walk for 8-hour shifts outdoors.

• Ability to climb stairs and traverse uneven ground.

• Ability to operate a four-wheel ATV (training provided).
