Commissioning Director – Data Center

Location: Austin, Texas

Travel: Up to 50%

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Director to lead commissioning activities on a major data center project in Austin, Texas. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong technical knowledge, client-facing experience, and a proven track record delivering mission-critical commissioning programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the full commissioning process across electrical, mechanical and controls systems.
• Develop, review and write detailed commissioning and functional performance test scripts , then lead their execution through L1–L5.
• Manage commissioning teams, contractors and key stakeholders through testing and handover.
• Ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely, on schedule and to client requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, manage deficiencies and provide regular project reporting.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of commissioning experience, ideally within data centers or other mission-critical environments.
• Proven experience writing and executing commissioning test scripts .
• Strong understanding of L1–L5 commissioning, IST/FPT and integrated systems testing.
• Experience leading commissioning teams and managing client/end-user relationships.
• Strong electrical or mechanical engineering background.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
